Rocket the Fennec Fox born 2001 Forever Home here at My Zoo 2 U |
LeLa the Fennec Fox born 12/25/03 Forever Home here at My Zoo 2 U |
We brought home LeLa from a Breeder in Ohio when she was 6 weeks old. She is very attached to us and loves to terrorize the dogs. She lives with her boyfriend Rocket who was a rescue from West Virginia. Rocket had a best friend named Many, but when Many passed away he became very lonely, until he met LeLa that is! Although Rocket doesn’t trust us yet, we love him very much! |
Fennec Foxes are certainly cute, and small enough to keep in even the smallest apartment. They even bond strongly to their human companions, so strongly that it takes years to win the affection of an older Fennec Fox. However their size does not limit them in any way; they are digging machines and will stop at nothing to remove that pesky carpet off your floor. On their best day they are about 75% litter trained! Please do your research before bringing home a Fennec Fox! |

Bree the Coatimundi born 2004 Forever Home here at My Zoo 2 U |
Brutus the Coatimundi born 3/22/04 Forever Home here at My Zoo 2 U |
We brought home Brutus from a breeder from Texas, and he is a clown! He steals the show with his prankster attitude and schnoz-o-phone! Brutus lives with a rescue Coatimundi named Bree who came home to us September of 2005. Bree is a sweet girl who’s first owner was in a car accident and had to give her up, her second owner didn’t really know how to care for Coatimundis and fed her the wrong diet and kept her in a very small and unclean cage. Her third owner was a sweet lady who just couldn’t let Bree live like that, so she took her home and kept her until we could bring her home! We are Bree’s fourth home in just 2 years and she will be here into her old age! |
Coatimundi’s often find their way into rescues after their owners realize how much of a handful they can be. Coatimundi’s are extremely smart and will get into trouble if they become bored. Because of their great strength they can cause lots of destruction. Coatimundi’s bond closely with their owners, and do not take new owners very easily. It can take 9 months to 2 years for a Coatimundi to bond with it’s new parent. Very often Coatimundi’s are put to sleep because there is a lack of patient loving owners capable of handling such intelligent creatures! Please think wisely before bringing home a Coatimundi! |

We also have up for adoption; Rabbits and two Hairless Guinea Pigs. With full cage set up and supply of food. |
